NOTESThe first Bantu Batho (BB) label design was red and featured a white twin face. This was followed by the twin trumpeters and at some point the design shifted again to include the dancing couples shown in this example above. When the label was finally taken over by Trutone the design was significantly transformed to pink and black. Generally the catalogue numbering was divided by genre and language, For example BB 100s included urban music, the BB 400s Sotho, the 500s Zulu, etc. Many thanks to Rob Allingham for these discographic details. |
